Growing up we’ve all heard the same words. No matter what we did, whether it was sports or school or whatever it may have been, we all heard those words “practice, practice, practice”. Well the exact same thing applies when learning the piano, there’s no other way to get better at this amazingly beautiful and versatile instrument then piano practice.

The piano is considered the most widely used instrument in western music. You know what’s an amazing thing about this beautiful instrument? The fact that it can either be played on it’s own as a solo, or listening to it being accompanied by different instruments. Think about just how versatile this instrument is. Look at the different artists who use it; Beethoven, Chopin, Elton John, Ray Charles, Amy Lee from Evanescence and Sarah McLachlan. Each and everyone one of these artists has a unique and different sound. See, it’s a pretty versatile instrument, wouldn’t you say?

There are steps that should be taken when doing piano practice. These things can include; stretching your fingers out before you begin to play, start your practice by playing scales, remember to practice each and everyday, try and practice in a room where you will have no interruptions and remember to take a break about every half an hour so that you can go back refreshed. There are many people who are able to pick up instruments pretty quickly, but in order for them to get better they still need to practice.
